From the counter
"We want to thank everyone for being so patient and supporting us all the way through." That's what we wrote the morning we opened, December 23, 2023. We meant it then and we mean it more now.
People keep asking why "bodega." Because that's home: New York corners, un corrito y cafecito never hurt nobody, family behind the counter, everybody known by order. We brought the block to Holland Road.
The board by the register gets rewritten every season. Half these drinks were invented here, named after whoever ordered them first: XOXO, Puppy Love, La Isla, Canela Love. If a regular's name is on a chalk line, it stayed because of them.
Coffee is the excuse. This is your home away from home, seven days a week, no whipped cream unless you ask.
